My Statement of Belief and Ethics:
Integrity-I believe a person should always do what they say they are going to do. Your integrity as a leader is the foundation to your credibility, your influence and
your power as a leader.
Serve-First-I believe that a person will never go wrong if they serve-first. I believe that if a person makes it his/her personal calling or mission to make the success of
others his/her focus, all other things will be taken care of.
Clear Direction-I believe that everyone needs to be given clear direction if they are to be expected to be lead or held accountable. A person’s performance cannot
be challenged if they have not been given clear direction of expectations.
Fair Hearing-I believe that everyone should be given and opportunity to be heard and have their point of view considered.
Business Ethics-I believe that the words business and ethics are synonyms. A person should never put his/herself in a situation where there is a choice of being
unethical in business; if they do they should not be in business.
Empathy-One of the greatest attributes of a leader is his/her ability to empathize with those s/he serves. People deserve respect and consideration for their point of view, for what they know, and have experienced.
Awareness-Only after a leader becomes aware of his/her own self, to include his/her strengths and weaknesses, is s/he equipped to lead. Without this personal awareness the leaders is hollow and wiithout substance.
Building community-I believe a leader should be committed to serving first and developing people. A leader should always strive to make diligent efforts to build community wherever they are. We are each other’s best asset and it is through dialogue, debate and humility that greater truth and growth achieved.
